“Behold, a dish made with the love and skill of my Vincentian grandmother. The meal presented includes freshly squeezed guava juice with guava from the front yard tree, and breadfruit with fresh yard foul (chicken) stewed with home-made base. The breadfruit was first introduced to St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) in 1793 by Captain William Bligh to address food security. It is now a staple of Vincentian cuisine, as being a part of its national dish!” says Angie.
